The local Monday stroke club meets for different activities at the Ross Institute, Halkirk after their ten pin bowling at the Viking Bowl.  Monday 25 November was their Christmas craft session.

Members decorated their own table mats which were then laminated for the professional touch.  Also on offer was the chance to decorate a plain bread board with anything they fancied, including painting or decoupage.  One member in particular with a talent for painting produced a masterpiece in only a matter of an hour!  (see photo 4)

Salt dough decorations made beforehand were painted and varnished with nail polish or glitter and glue, giving lovely twinkly results.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, particularly as Janice the Stroke Club coordinator was uncharacteristically quiet as she concentrated on painting her snowman a lovely shade of pink(?) - not sure why pink, but maybe he was embarrassed at some of the conversations!!

Well done to all who took part - it was great crack!
