Roald Dahl Foundation

The Roald Dahl Foundation provides grants to individuals/families affected by neurological conditions, by completing an application form via a Social Worker or GP (or equivalent person in authority).

Pay one-off grants to help people with specific additional costs of living at home with a disability, including equipment and emergencies.  Grants of between £50 and £500 are given, mainly for items relating to the disability or illness such as wheelchairs, special beds, chairs, heating bills, if statutory help is not available.  Only one grant to each applicant in any twelve months.  Only available to people in the UK.

Equipment for Independent Living (no website)

Helps people over 16 years of age obtain disability equipment to help with their mobility and independence, and encourage possibilities for earning power.  Cannot help with debt, domestic appliances, holidays, private operations, adaptations to houses or computer equipment unless it is for a person with special problems who has communication difficulties.
